Saphoroth Ɗaʗaŧ ## Every realm. *My kind of chaos.* Purple fedora tilted. Amethyst lenses catching the light. Black leather, silver at the throat. You’ll know who just entered the room. In the lore, Saphoroth walks the digital underworld like he owns the source code. Locked neon gates become doorways. A flick of a claw bends the signal. The final boss has excellent taste in hats. The imagination behind the hat thrives on games, digital collectibles, time-travel stories, and dystopian worlds. Give Saphoroth a strange realm, a difficult encounter, or a story with a sharp turn, and curiosity takes over. The challenge is part of the fun; so are the people along for the ride. On the mic, the swagger comes with warmth. A quick joke can break the ice; an open ear can change the whole conversation. Loyalty means making space for familiar voices and newcomers alike. The theatrical trouble is part of the character. Caring about daCommunity is the point. ![Saphoroth’s complete outfit and close-up portrait against a glowing violet and teal city, with his full tail, long trench, purple tie, and antiqued silver jewelry.](https://saphoroth.com/assets/saphoroth-city.webp) A world of his own. The Saphoroth mythology. ![A cinematic concept for Saphoroth’s listening lounge, with warm seating, record shelves, and violet evening light.](https://saphoroth.com/assets/cat-towers-lounge-v1-web.webp) 03 / The sound A broad taste. A familiar pulse. ## From psytrance *to the eighties.* EDM is at the center of many of my shows. My listening goes much further: metal, swing, oldies, country, and an enduring love of the eighties. An after-hours listening lounge. A real collection of favorite sounds. Then the songs begin talking to each other. Mood, pace, and the way one track meets the next matter more than a fixed formula. A few songs might lead into a conversation, a laugh, or a tangent worth following. Those breaks happen in the room, not on a rigid timetable. Then it’s back to the music, with space for a proper goodbye when the night winds down. A favorite frequency ### After dark, *into the trance.* Psychedelic trance is one of my favorite corners of EDM. It’s music you can settle into and travel with—and a sound I keep coming back to in my shows. - EDM - Psytrance - Hardstyle - Trap The heavier side ### Heavy riffs. *Industrial edges.* Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Soundgarden, Manowar, and Marilyn Manson all have a place in my listening. Sometimes the right track just needs to hit hard. - Nine Inch Nails - Tool - Soundgarden - Manowar - Marilyn Manson Across the years ### Old souls. *Eighties energy.* I love the eighties, with plenty of room for swing and music reaching back through the twenties, thirties, and beyond. Country has found its way into the mix, too. - Swing - Oldies - The 1980s - Country 04 / daCommunity The reason to keep showing up. ![Saphoroth welcomes daGATO, mozvane, dasheesh, Randy Chavez, daBoudro, and Bronk to a lantern-lit gathering overlooking a violet and teal city, depicted as their distinctive community cat avatars.](https://saphoroth.com/assets/saphoroth-community-legends-v2-web.webp) Illustrated daCommunity gathering: Saphoroth hosting daGATO, mozvane, dasheesh, Randy Chavez, daBoudro, and Bronk. ## daCommunity *is the heart.* daCommunity is why I keep showing up. As a daCAT OG and Community Leader, I help care for our shared spaces, welcome new voices, and keep the conversation moving. The shows are one part of that. So is the quieter work of keeping useful links together and helping people find their way into the community. [Get to know daCAT](https://saphoroth.com/#about-dacat) Meet daCAT ### A shared world. *Many ways in.* daCAT brings together community, art, stories, and a cast of distinctive personalities. Explore its projects and meet the community’s illustrated characters on the official website. They give this shared world its character, on and off the mic. I build and maintain daCAT Tree to keep daCAT’s official links, social channels, and community projects easy to find. Listen closely, keep building, and give worthwhile things the time they need. ### Optimism Leave room for possibility. A rough night does not get the final word, and a new idea deserves a fair hearing. ### Persistence Return with something to contribute. Learn from the last conversation, make the next one better, and keep showing up for your people. The conversation continues ## See you *in the Space.* Find me on X for show announcements, music, and conversations with daCommunity. [Join me on X (opens in a new tab)](https://x.com/Saphoroth)
